Opener ZSOLT VECSERA - Managing Director
Zsolt Vecsera was appointed Managing Director of GEFCO UK in June 2016 to help grow and expand its operations in the UK transport and logistics arena. Not only does Zsolt have a wealth of logistics industry experience, but he also understands the values and inner-workings of GEFCO, having held the position of Managing Director at GEFCO Hungary, between March 2011 to May 2016. Prior to joining GEFCO Hungary, Zsolt was Managing Director at Raben Logistics. He also spent more than six years at Waberer's Holding plc, as Group Key Account Director.
Along with a high level of expertise and industry experience, Zsolt brings with him significant business acumen, having successfully doubled the revenue and profit of GEFCO Hungary in only five years. His experience over the past 15 years managing large teams in Europe positions him well as he begins to identify further growth opportunities for GEFCO in the UK and beyond.

Opener JOHN STOCKER - Commercial Director
John Stocker started his career in the transport industry as a Management Trainee with the NFC, working in Pickfords Removals and BRS.
In 1988 John joined the newly formed Ryder Distribution Services organisation as Business Development Director and was part of the team that successfully grew that company from start-up to over £100m per annum turnover.
Following an internal re-organisation a single entity Ryder plc was formed from Ryder Truck Rental and Ryder Distribution and he was appointed Group Director – Sales & Marketing responsible for the development of all product lines in Ryder’s European markets.
He was appointed to the company’s Global Marketing Council, and worked closely with USA colleagues in the automotive sector.
A further change in the organisation saw John promoted to Managing Director of Ryder’s Integrated Logistics business.
Prior to GEFCO, John spent seven years in the position of Commercial Director for the privately owned Acumen Distribution Ltd, with particular emphasis on Inbound Logistics solutions for manufacturers.
John joined GEFCO in May 2012 as Sales & Marketing Director for the UK, taking responsibility for the UK Commercial Team steering the development of a number of new business flows with major clients, in addition to developing the UK sales strategy.
In March 2014, John took on a new role within GEFCO as Finished Vehicle Logistics Director for the UK. He has been responsible for overseeing all elements of the Finished Vehicle Logistics business, including developing and implementing strategy to drive commercial growth.
From January 2017 John is taking up the role of Commercial Director, GEFCO UK to drive the new business growth for all product lines in support of the 5 year plan. He will provide leadership to his team to ensure that they are structured and focused to provide GEFCO’s customers with the most efficient, cost effective and sustainable services, tailored to their business needs.
Opener CEDRIC CHACON - Overland Director
Cedric is Director of Overland, Warehousing and Reusable Packaging business units at GEFCO UK. With extensive experience in the automotive and logistics industry Cedric now specialises in strategic client development, ensuring innovative and efficient operations to respond to clients’ needs.
Cedric first joined GEFCO Group in 2000 as part of his studies in Management for Logistics Operations. Between 2001 and 2003, he held a range of management responsibilities in various positions in GEFCO Dijon Overland services, including Collections & Deliveries (C&D), Customer Services Unit, Forwarding and Warehouse operations.
In 2005 Cedric was made Operations Manager in GEFCO Marseille OVL, where he managed a team of 25 people, in charge of groupage activity, managing 650 deliveries and 100 collections a day, and with further responsibility for the overnight spare-parts distribution in 3 different postcodes. Cedric strengthened his management skills and was transferred towards the end of 2005 to GEFCO Lyon OVL site which is the second largest operations for the group but certainly the most versatile site across the global Overland business unit.
His primary focus was the organisation of outbound transportation for National and International groupage, included night HUB operations as well as PSA Inbound logistics to every European plant representing a daily average of 80 line hauls. Managing a warehouse and office team of 75 staff, he successfully led the implementation of new GEFCO Transport Management System: INES.
In 2007, he was promoted to Operations Manager with responsibility for overseeing activity for the whole site, which included the local groupage distribution with c. 900 drops per day, control of aftermarket distribution across 5 different postcodes, but also 2Wheeler deliveries with a daily average of 60 C&D runs. He also oversees the Gefbox consolidation centre operations, and the cross-dock of overseas activities mainly from and to North Africa. For his last year in Lyon, Cedric seconded in the role of Operational Director in taking additional duties mainly linked with freight forwarding.
Since 2010, Cedric joined the UK subsidiary in the position of Overland Manager for activities such as Groupage, Forwarding, Aftermarket, 2Wheelers but also Inbound Logistics. In 2015 he became Director of Overland, Warehousing and Reusable Packaging business units (OVL & WRP).
