GEFCO UK uses an index-based surcharge that is adjusted monthly. Changes to the surcharge will be effective the first day of each month and posted approximately two weeks prior to the effective date. We will also post a 12 month fuel surcharge history. The surcharge will be based on the Average Net UK Diesel prices from the John Hall Associates index from the last week of the month, applied two months in arrears.

The baseline for the surcharge is December 2008, when the index was 80.04 ppl.

The average fuel price on 31 May fell to 96.82 ppl, so the fuel surcharge for July 2010 will be 5.2%.
