Industrial customers at the core of GEFCO’s strategy

GEFCO launched a business website showcasing its  innovative logistics solutions. Five videos show how GEFCO helps industrials to:

 

  • Increase the competitiveness of the production chain;
  • Optimise product distribution;
  • Improve the level of service;
  • Reduce the logistics cost of spare parts;
  • Measure the performance of the supply chain.


2010 results

In 2010, the GEFCO group recorded a €3,351 million turnover, a 16% increase from 2009. Operating income came to €198 million, or 5.9% turnover. While pursuing its historical support to the automobile industry, GEFCO deploys a profitable growth strategy in industry and expends each year its sector-based diversification involvement. This effort concretized a €1,217 million turnover increase in 2010 realized with major industrials, up 16.3% year on year.


An expanding worldwide presence

Achieving 77% of its growth outside France this year, GEFCO confirms its ambition to prioritize international developmentin fast-growing geographical zones: +63% in South America, +38% in Central and Eastern Europe and +41% in the Mediterranean countries and in China. In 2011 GEFCO increases its expansion in Central and Eastern Europe and Asia, by reinforcing its activities in China and establishing presence in India.
