Alain Vignon has a wide range of expertise in the Industrial & Service sectors having worked for more than 30 years in both Financial and Operational positions.

Initially working with Accountants Ernst & Young, Alain then spent 12 years with the French subsidiary of the Californian company Raychem.

Following this period, Alain joined the CHEP Group, the international pallet and container pooling company. At CHEP, he carried out many management roles during a period of ten years. This valuable experience gave him a good understanding of the processes and best practices of working within key international markets.

Alain has worked for the last four years for GEFCO in their Head Office in Paris in the role of Financial Controller for the worldwide Network.

With effect from 1st March 2008, Alain Vignon has succeeded Phil Shankley as GEFCO UK’s Managing Director.

Alain will continue to build upon the recent success of GEFCO UK particularly improving efficiency; managing costs and developing quality initiatives to further strengthen the offer to our existing customers in the development of international logistic services.
