Alan has a considerable number of years of experience in working in the automotive industry, in particular the vehicle leasing and fleet management sector, having worked in the past for companies such as VELO Ltd, Manheim Europe Ltd and Inchcape Fleet Solutions.

Alan’s previous positions include Manager and Director of both Sales and Operations so he now has a proven track record in managing people and building strong teams in both these environments. In Alan’s most recent role as Operations Director at Provecta Car Plan Ltd, he was responsible for all in-life processes, including vehicle purchase, remarketing, maintenance and rental.

Over the years, Alan has worked with many of the largest vehicle manufacturers in the market and has a very clear understanding of what the manufacturers expect from their suppliers in terms of consistently providing the highest level of service.

Since joining GEFCO over 18 months ago, Alan has been upholding the position of UK Commercial Operations Manager. He is responsible in this role for all automotive logistics activities that are undertaken at the four UK automotive centres based in Corby, Sheerness, Sandtoft and Portbury. He is also responsible for maintaining relationships with all existing customers as well as managing all new business sales and marketing activities.
